Houser Verbals, Ohio Fallout, Oostburg Hires, Veach MVP

KK Houser of Lincoln Southeast has verballed Purdue. The 5-5 guard averaged 13.4 ppg for the 26-1 state champion Knights.
Houser plays with the Nebraska CSS Bison AAU team during the summer.
Minnesota was one of the schools under consideration.
Houser is the third player from the Nebraska 2009 class to verbal, and the third to verbal a D1 school.
Houser is the second player from LSE to verbal. Marissa Kastanek verballed North Carolina State last year.

I received a lot of emails yesterday about the Elofson/Ohio situation.
This email is from Adam DeJoode, coach of IBCA Select Red:

thanks for posting this about Ohio and the verbal from the Metro Stars player (Kara Elofson). We talk about the etiquette all the time and I will go out of my way to share this story with everyone in our program for future reference in case Ohio is interested in our players. I don't condone this behavior and with 35 Division I players over the past 5 years, I can't imagine having to counsel one of our players through an unfortunate circumstance like this.

This incident will reverberate around the basketball community.
