Gunning Verbals, Endisch Signs, Gophers in Italy

GUNNING VERBALS
Nikki Gunning of Howell, Michigan has verballed Indiana State. Gunning is a junior (2010) point guard. Howell was 9-11 last year. From the Livingston Daily.
Gunning is the first Michigan player from the 2010 class to verbal and the first off to a D1 program.

ENDISCH SIGNS
Jenna Endisch of Muskego, Wisconsin has signed with Alaska Anchorage. Endisch averaged 14.6 ppg for the 17-6 Warriors last year. She also played in the all star game.
Endisch is the 57th player from the Wisconsin 2008 class to decide on a college and the 16th headed to a D2 program.

COACHING NEWS
Amy Sander and Sarah Tracy have been hired as assistant coaches for Pam Gohl's staff at MSU Mankato. Sander was the head coach at Nebraska Wesleyan and Buena Vista. Tracy was an assistant at Grand View in Des Moines.

GOPHER TRIP
The Minnesota Gophers started their Italian trip with the sites of Rome. Zoe Harper, Kristen Dockery and Barb Smith give their thoughts on the Roman portion of the trip. As far as basketball goes---The Gophers romped over Palestrina 104-31 with Katie Ohm notching 27 points.

SCHEDULE
South Dakota will travel to North Carolina for a game in March in the transition to full fledged D1 status. From the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.
