CENTENNIAL cougars 59, HAYFIELD vikings 17
Defending Sweet 16 champion Centennial had their transition game in high gear in a 59-17 win over Hayfield in the quarterfinals. Hayfield actually led 2-0 in this game. By the end of the first quarter Centennial led 13-2. That lead grew to 30-11 at halftime. Hayfield only had two points from the floor in the first half. The next time Hayfield scored from the floor came with under a minute to go in the third quarter. At that time the score was 42-14. The fourth quarter was more of the same for the Cougars with a 17-3 run.
Centennial only allowed two 2 point field goals all game. Hayfield had droughts of 12 in the first half and 9 and 13 in the second half.
