Summer Slam, Nike National Wrap

MN Stars Borowicz won the Summer Slam as was reported last night with a 70-65 win over Indiana Elite Central.

17U Elite Blue Division
NE Judds CSS 15's 65, Queen City Jaguars 59
Carly Grenfell (York) had 24 points including 6 threes and Tina Fantroy (Lincoln Southwest) had 14 to lead the Judds to Finals of the 17U Blue Division.

Top Recruit (NY) 49, NE Judds CSS 15's 45
Carly Grenfell (York) had 14 points and Kyley Simmons (Council Bluffs Lewis Central) had 11 to lead the Judds to the 2nd place finish. This game featured 19 lead changes, with the lead changing for the final time with 41 seconds to play, as the Judds loss a heartbreaker.

The Judds Finished 34-15 (best record in Judds history), and won 11 out of the final 12 games they played. All 9 players for the Judds are eligible to return next year (no graduating seniors)

17U Elite Red Division
NE Bison CSS 56 Detroit Motor City 42
Marissa Kastanek (Lincoln Southeast) McKenzie Fujan (Bishop Nuemann) had 10 to lead the Bison Consolation Championship.

NE Bison CSS 84 Kentucky Extreme 59
KK Houser (Lincoln Southeast) 14 Kelsie Lliteras (Chadron) has 13 points to lead the Bison.
The NE Bison CSS 17's finished 44-6 (best record in Bison History) and never lost more then one game at any tournament.

The Bison will miss the graduating players of Marissa Kastanek (Committed to NC State) KK Houser (Undecided) Kelsie Lliteras, and Brooke Wehle (both undecided).

Cornhusker Shooting Stars 13U finished in 2nd place losing to the Motor City Top Ten 14's 59-55.

Kayla Hirt had 19 points for North Tartan Larson in a loss to Tennessee Flight. Tennessee Flight won Nike Nationals with a win over Boo Williams.

During the tournament NTL's Amanda Zimmerman may have strained her MCL in a game vs Boo Williams.
