BASKETBALL DIVAS vs KENNEDY
Last week at the College of St. Benedict Kennedy took the Sweet 16 title. In this contest Kennedy ran into a veteran squad that the Eagles beat earlier in the day. This time it was the Divas that had the revenge in a 20-11 win. Melissa Miller was the prime gun for the Divas with 13 points. This was a physical contest with Kennedy giving as much as taking contact.

The veterans scored first, and Kennedy answered right back. Neither team had too much of an advantage with three ties early, the last coming at four all. Miller scored five straight points for the Divas as they pushed their lead out to 9-6. Val Vincent, a former Kennedy player ironically, knocked down a "2" to put the Divas up 11-6. A 10 possession Kennedy drought torpedoed any chance for a double win over the Divas today. Brittany Zins made a "2" to cut the margin to 11-8, but then Kennedy went dry for another six possessions. All in all it was a 1/17 sequence. The Divas finished up the game with four unanswered points. Kennedy went silent the last 8 possessions.

Notes: Kennedy had the best uniforms of anybody at the event---they were tie died/air brushed with numbers and their names on the t shirt.
