D1 RESULTS
The Big 10 went 4-0 yesterday in Women's basketball.
Minnesota continued to put the clamps on defensively with a 67-58 win over Northern Iowa. Emily Fox led the Gophers with 15. Kristin Iehl (Cedar Falls, IA) matched her with 15 for UNI. Scoring balance was the focus in the StarTribune. The Des Moines Register calls UNI hesitant.

Michigan shut down Cincinnati 55-46. Krista Phillips led the Wolverines with 17. From the Michigan Daily.

Indiana topped Arkansas Pine Bluff 74-56. Haylie Linn (Madison Edgewood) scored 4 and Jamie Braun (Marshfield, WI) had 3 for Indiana.

Iowa beat instate rival Drake 62-50. Megan Skouby led the Hawkeyes with 19. Krista Vande Venter (Osseo) added 4 and Kachine Alexander (Benilde-St. Margaret's) added 2. Jill Martin (Norwalk, IA) had 11 to lead Drake. Lauren Dybing (St. Croix Lutheran) added 10. The Daily Iowan credits a heavy dose of D in the Iowa win. Wagner beat Princeton 75-49. Jillian Schurle (Hopkins) had 7, while Ali Prichard (Apple Valley) provided 5.

Southern Alabama topped Ohio 73-59. Lauren Kohn (Adrian, MI) had 13 for Ohio. Jackie Hiebert (Hopkins) added 4.

St. John's beat Army 72-58. Megan Ennenga (St. Louis Park) made her first start for Army and delivered 2 points.

Butler beat Bradley 56-46. Jenny Van Kirk (Waconia) had a career high 8 points for Bradley. Chloe Hamilton (Holt, MI) did not score.

Liberty beat UNC Greensboro 62-44. Heather Smith (Mahtomedi) had 2 points for Liberty.

San Francisco beat Colorado State in three overtimes 101-96. Elle Queen (Minnetonka) had a double double with 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Lauren Young (Edina) and Kelly Finley (Breck) did not score for CSU.

NAIA
Waldorf beat Briar Cliff 79-53. Sarah Swanson led Waldorf with 20. From the Sioux City Journal.

Northwestern IA edged Morningside 70-67. Amy Larson scored 21 for NW and went over the 1000 point mark in her career.

Spring Arbor beat Cornerstone 65-59.

Michigan Dearborn split over the weekend.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Mesabi East beat Minneapolis CTC 78-55
