Julie Wojta, Mishicot has verballed UW Green Bay. The 6-1 forward was the player of the year the last two seasons in the Manitowoc Herald Times paper. She averaged a double double last year with 17.1 ppg and 12.5 rpg. She joins Kayla Tetschlag of Sheboygan North in verballing early. Here is the Green Bay Press Gazette story.

So far according the records Iowa and Minnesota have had six players commit from the 2007 class. If you add in CC players and future classes Iowa has 9, Minnesota 7, SD 4, WI 4, Nebraska 2, ND 2, Michigan 1, Indiana 1. More will be coming.

NCAA VIOLATIONS
A Vanderbilt staff member violated NCAA recruiting rules when they attended an AAU event on July 22. Vanderbilt self reported the violation and undertook the penalties and education involved. Here is more from the Hendersonville Tennessean.

Keith Willis was removed from coaching duties at Calumet in a special school board meeting. Verbal abuse was one of the complaints. Willis was coach of the year for the ABC schools in the Upper Peninsula. Here is more on the ordeal from the Houghton Mining Gazette.

Courtney Fettig
, Bismarck Century is a 6-1 forward that averaged 11 ppg last year, she also is a barrel racer in rodeo. Rodeo seems to have her heart. Century won the Minnesota Gopher team camp at the end of July. Her is the story in the Bismarck Tribune.

The Minnesota Gophers women's basketball team will be embarking on a three city tour starting Monday August 14 in Alexandria and then Fosston for dinner in the evening. Carson City-Crystal will be the smallest school in the Central State Activities Association, but the coaches there are looking forward to the competition. Next year CCC will be joining the Central Michigan Athletic Conference. Here is the Greenville Daily News with More.
