Minnesota got off to a fast start scoring five of their first 6 possessions and they led 11-3. SA only scored twice in their first 10 possessions. All 8 non scoring possessions were missed shots. Nicole Ohlde was ready to roll in that first quarter as she scored 8. In fact she had 8 of the first 15 points. SA did find the range and thy were 5/6 in possessions and closed the gap to 15-13. But MN never trailed in this game. SA had problems again to start the 2nd quarter. They were 1/8 but turnovers started to rear their head. MN didn't start off the 2nd hot, but they were humming as they finished the quarter 12/13 in possessions, the last 8 in a row. MN had an six point lead when the streak started. They outscored SA 23-9 during the stretch.

SA, with their back on the wall to start the fourth, scored on 8 of their first 10 possessions. But with all that happened previously they were only able to cut that lead down to 11.

This was Seimone Augustus' 9th game over 130 pp100. Clearly the best on the team.

Kristen Mann continued to well at home. It was her 3rd straight +100 pp100 game at home. She also has two straight 100+ games, longest streak going for the Lynx.

A big key in this game was the defensive job done on Agnieszka Bibrzycka. In previous games against the Lynx she had 13, 20, and 19. Since I wasn't there I don't know who gets the credit, but someone deserves it.

Next up: later today two out & abouts: Becker vs St. Paul Central and Minneapolis Roosevelt vs Kingsland in the opening rounds of the sweet 16.
