Today the Sweet 16 opens at the College of St. Benedict's in St. Joseph, MN. Four of the best teams in each class will clash. In the past whichever team had success in this tournament had similar success in the HS tournament in March.
One of the teams in the tournament is Crookston. They have not been seen much in the summer ball season. No word on who will coach the Pirates in the HS season.
One of the top games today happens in the first round with two potential #1s AAAA St. Paul Central and AAA Becker.
