BY THE NUMBERS
Minnesota 75, 69, 108.7, .507
Seattle 77, 69, 111.6, .493

We mentioned last night that Seattle converted more 3s and that is why their floor % number is lower than the Lynx. Seattle converted 9 compared to the Lynx's four. Also the free throw parade had Seattle going 16/16. Lauren Jackson was double digits at the line with 10. MN only attmepted 14, and they didn't cash in every time.

At the end of the first and third quarter Seattle scored and each time the review was in their favor. Sue Bird made the money shot at the end of the third. She also made key shots as time was winding down on the 24 second clock a couple of times. She delivered in crunch time. She also hit the shot that tied the game at 72.

For the Lynx Kristen Mann had a season high 19 points. It was easily her best game in pp100 and floor %. I know she has back problems as she comes off all the time and gets wrapped in the blue blanket. That may be why she had zero on Sunday in New York. If her back heals that high level of performance will be welcomed on a consistent basis.

Nicole Ohlde also broke out of a slump. She had gone eight straight games sub 100 pp100. Vanessa Hayden has the best pp100 streak going at four games.

Under 2:30 to go Augustus surprisingly missed on a lay up shot. Burse and Abrosimova got tangled up, and Seattle won the tip. Then Bird did her magic. The Lynx had two good looks in the next to possessions, but didn't connect. With 18 seconds to go ex-Lynx Betty Lennox drained her only points of the game to break the Lynx's hearts. Augustus had another shot fall away. Jackson added two free throws to Seattle to make a comeback unlikely with six seconds left.

Next up: more from the NT Meltdown with the 14u championships featuring the Fury and the Mpls Lady Cats. Later the exhibition between North Tartan and Mpls Lady Lakers.
