DECISIONS, DECISIONS
Four players from the Swish have made decisions on colleges next season:

She has been a Central Lakes All-Conference selection the last 2 years. Bates is the 37th headed to a D2 school from the 2008 class.

2. Erin Foley, St. Cloud Tech will go to St. Thomas. Foley averaged 11.8 pts, 8.3 rebounds, 12 assists, 2.2 steals and has been a Central Lakes All-Conference Selection the last 2 years. Foley set the MN State Girls Assist Record with 359 assists this year.

3. Andrea Hagberg, St. Cloud Apollo will join Foley at St. Thomas. Hagberg averaged 20 pts, 3.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 steals. She has been a Central Lakes All-Conference Selection the last 3 years. Hagberg is the Apollo girls career scoring record with almost 1500 points.

4. Brook Dunsmoore, St. Cloud Apollo is off to Concordia, Moorhead. Dunsmoore averaged 14.4 pts, 10.5 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.2 blocks for the Eagles. She has been a Central Lakes All-Conference Selection for 2 years.

5. Joining her at Concordia Moorhead will be Jordyn Sears of St. Cloud Tech. She will be on the AAAA All Stars this weekend and made the coaches association AAAA All State Team. She holds the Tech career scoring record with almost 1,700 points.

That pushes the D3 total to 11 for Minnesota 2008 this year (so far that is known). The grand totals are 78 for all levels.

SCHOOLCRAFT SIGNS TWO
Schoolcraft College (Livonia, MI) head women's basketball coach Karen Lafata has announced the signings of Amber Avery and April Goins to National Junior College Athletic Association Letters of Intent. The Ocelots were 27-5 this past season and ranked #6 in NJCAA Division II.

Amber Avery, Southfield-Lathrup: Avery averaged 17 points and 12 rebounds to help Lathrup to the Class A quarterfinals. "She's an extremely strong post player for being just 5-foot-9," coach Michele Jackson said. "She plays well inside and does a great job of finishing."

April Goins, Detroit Pershing: Goins, a 6-foot senior, averaged 18 points and 10 rebounds, to help lead Pershing to the Detroit Public School League Championship.

With these two signings Michigan has 32 known 2008 commitments. These two are the first for Community College that are known.
Next up: later tonight with the Metro Stars vs Metro Stars game.
