Mankato West coach Mark Schmesing resigned. He coached 9 years at rival Mankato East, and 8 years at West. West was 20-7 this past season. From the Mankato Free Press.

The Detroit News has listed their girls basketball all area teams.
Here is the Dream Team: Ariel Braker of Grosse Pointe North is their player of the year as a sophomore.
Plus their All Detroit; All East; All North and All West teams.

The Lansing State Journal has listed their all area dream team. They also have 11 all conference teams listed in the same article.
Kellie Watson of Ionia is their player of the year. Rob Smith of East Lansing is their coach of the year.

COACHING NEWS
Dina Hackert has resigned as girls basketball coach at Ludington. The Orioles were 24-2 this past season. In five years her record was 109-17. From the Ludington Daily News.
