MONFRE'S STORY

TITLE IX
The Michigan Daily News looks at women's athletic history at the University of Michigan before Title IX. There is a vintage photo, but not of basketball, but notice the backboard in the background. Try banks shots on that surface.

AWARDS
Kansas held their end of the year awards. Rebecca Feickert of Sheridan County, North Dakota took home one award.

Ohio's season is reviewed with 6 new records and the most wins in 13 years.

Michigan Tech handed out their end of the year awards. Catherine Rottier (Seymour, WI) was named MVP.

Kayla Groh of UW Green Bay (Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah, WI) was named to the Horizon Academic All Conference team.

Anne Breland of Rochester CTC (Rochester Lourdes) was named to the first team NJCAA D3 All American Team. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.

WNBA SIGNINGS
Debbie Remmerde of Rock Valley and Northwestern, IA has signed a WNBA free agent contract with the Houston Comets. She is the all time leading scorer in Iowa High School history with 2756 points. She went to Iowa, but then left for Northwestern, IA and scored 3854 points there. From the Sioux City Journal.
