Team WI Select 17 had a strong second half in their semifinal win over Metro Stars White. TWS won pool A, and Metro Stars White were victors of pool B. It was a tight first half. Katie Bushman dominated with 18 points for TWS.

Bushman started off the contest with five straight points with a rebound basket & one and then a regular post up. TWS pushed that lead out to 14-3. MSW started off 1/10 with their possessions. MSW started to bounce back with a 16-4 run including a run of five straight possessions. Laura Bruce went on a tear with all 8 of her points scored in this time. Kayla Blom's 3 gave MSW their biggest lead at 19-16. TWS finished the half with a 10-4 run and again it was Katie Bushman sparkling with seven points. TWS led 26-23 at half. TWS had 12 points in the first half on second chancers.

At the start of the second half it was the one two punch of Val Schuster and Briana Radowicz scoring five apiece to start TSW's 16-2 run. That outburst locked up the win for TWS. MSW had droughts of 8, and 10 in the second half. TWS's biggest lead was 57-34. TWS had a 9-2 run to push the lead out that far.

Metro Stars Black, the first team from the Metro Stars program was in pool A and lost to Team WI Select in pool play. They ended up as the third seed of that grouping.
