AAU NEWS
Iowa Elite I 17s beat Baden Elite 72-65 in the Deep South Classic in North Carolina. They are in the 17 sponsored B brackets.

The Waukon Indians Freshmen 'traveling' team will also be at the NAYS Dubuque tourney this weekend. They will play the Eastside Warriors at 1:00 pm. The eight players from Waukon are all from the 9th grade in Waukon.

PLAYER OF THE YEAR
Mallory Husz, Lewis Central, has been named player of the year in the Council Bluffs Daily Nonpariel for the second straight year and she is only a junior.

COACHING NEWS
Rich Uthoff has resigned at Waterloo East. In five years East improved from 0-21 to 19-5 this year. From the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier.
