This game took place on Sunday, April 15
MIDWEST ELITE EXPOSURE SHOWCASE
Menomonie WI
Platinum Division, Pool D play
TEAM WI RED 17S 49, ALL-AMERICANS MI 27

Team WI Red 17s out ran the smaller All Americans from MI 49-27. Made, missed shots and turnovers and TWR17 was off to the races. They ended up making 14 points off transition for the day. The All Americans were quicker, and played without fear, but couldn't stop the TWR17 transition game.

TWR17 jumped out to an 8-0 lead as they held the smaller Michigan squad to a 1/12 sequence to start the game including the first seven possessions going scoreless. The All-Americans did get six shots off in that frame, but the bigger TWR17s never let them get a good look. TWR17 wasn't immune to droughts themselves as they suffered through an 8 possession drought in the middle of the half. That opened it up for AA to close the gap to 12-8, but TWR17 finished the half with a 12-3 run thanks in part to seven straight scoring possessions and TWR17 led 24-11.

It was more of the same in the second half with AA taking another drought, this time a six possession ordeal. TWR17 scored on four straight possessions in the middle of the half to put them up at the biggest lead of 43-18. AA did connect on three straight late in the game, but by that time their fate was sealed.
