This game took place on Sunday, April 15
MIDWEST ELITE EXPOSURE SHOWCASE
Menomonie WI
Platinum Division 5th Place Semifinals
RANDOLPH GIRLS CLUB 72, MN SUMMIT BLUE 66

If you like points and offense this was the game to be at on Sunday as Randolph beat MN Summit Blue in a roller coaster game with comebacks and rallies. Consider that Summit had a 111.9 pp100 and .508 floor % and lost. This was the most entertaining game of the tournament that we saw.

Randolph was up early with a 19-13 lead. The Summit scored on six straight possessions on a 16-7 run. The Summit nailed four straight 3s in the run with the one two punch of Tanya Dickey and Emily DeWitt. That put the Summit on top 31-26. The 3 game was also working for Randolph as Krista Pelky and Marieanna Dulas connected from beyond the arc. With their long distance sharpshooting Randolph edged in front 32-31. Dickey hit her third 3 of the half to put Summit back in front 34-32. A free throw by Dulas ended the scoring in the half with Summit up 34-33.

The Summit pushed out to a 50-41 as they connected on five of six possessions. Their run at the start was 16-8. Booker scored six of the points for Summit. Randolph took a time out after Summit led 48-39. As quick as they scored the Summit offensive effort dried up. The drought lasted seven possessions. That time out turned things around for Randolph. They went on a 17-2 run to go up 56-50. Katie Toellner and Krysta Pelky each had five points in the run. But Randolph was on fire. They were 70% on their possessions making a comeback extremely tough up hill climb for the Summit. Rooney scored on a touchdown pass over the press to finish the contest 74-66.
