MINNESOTA REPORTS
MILESTONE
Jr. Christina Steele is back in the Apple Valley lineup and scored her 1000 point in Apple Valley's win over Hill Murray. She is the 7th person in AV history to do reach the mark and did it the fastest. She is the 28th MN player to get to 1000 and 7th from the 2008 class to make it.

MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR DAY
Last year I wrote about the opportunity to make this day an event where some school could hold games and intersplice it with a program of MLK. It would be a great way to showcase basketball talent and also educate the public. If I ran the world this is how the match ups would be:
12 pm Becker vs DeLaSalle
2:30 pm Cretin-Derham Hall vs Benilde-St. Margaret's
5 pm Centennial vs Minneapolis South
7:30 pm Champlin Park vs St. Paul Central
There would be choirs and speeches between the games honoring MLK.
I hope some school picks up on this opportunity.
Minneapolis North goes to Chicago to do this event. Why not here?
