your daily dose of girls basketball news & information

ROGERS 56, SIMLEY 52
Simley was up at half 25-23.
The game was back and forth with no one leading by 3 or 4 points. Simley was down 10 points with 2 minutes left. Rogers spent a lot of time shooting free throws. Rogers was 16/21 at the line. Simley was 9/10 at the line.
Cassie Robinson of Simley didn't score in the first half, and only had 6 for the game. Didn't get to the line.
Rogers' 6-2 Cami McClay is now being worked into the games.
Amanda Chesness and McClay had 2 each at halftime. But in the second half Chesness had 8, and McClay had 10. Later Chesness fouled out.
The kid that kicked it into gear for Rogers was Jennifer Dowd. She had 13 points on the night. Casey Mann had 10. They like to run and go.

Simley's Natalie Walseth 6-0 freshman had 7 points all at the line.
Taylor Heltne had three 3s and 3 2s for 15 points and was the high scorer.
That game was up for grabs until the last few minutes when Rogers pulled ahead and Simley was forced into fouling. Dowd and Mann delivered at the line.

I am going back to back fill the New Prague/Albert Lea game.
