Minnesota survived at Iowa 80-78 in overtime. The MN Daily speaks of "gutting it out." The Daily Iowan speaks of a miracle that fell short. Emily Fox had a career high of 30 to lead MN. Hopkins' Leslie Knight had 12 for the Gophers. Osseo's Krista Vande Venter had 9 for Iowa.

Ohio State downed Indiana 72-62

Purdue smashed Northwestern 72-30. Breck's Melissa Miller had 4 off the bench for NW.

Penn State surprised Michigan State 69-58. Mpls North's Mia Johnson managed five points for MSU.

Wisconsin passed Michigan 73-60. The Capital Times looks at the Wisconsin defense. The Wisconsin State Journal highlights the first UW win this year after trailing at halftime. Janese Banks had 20 and South Shore's Jolene Anderson had 19 for the Badgers. Detroit Renaissance's Janelle Cooper led Michigan with 19.

UW Green Bay dismissed Butler 81-64. Elkhart Lake's Kayla Groh and Brillion's Amanda Popp dropped in 18 each for UWGB.

Illinois Chicago edged Detroit 77-73. Holy Angels' Jessie Miller had 8 points for UIC. Benilde's Chanica Hall did not score for Detroit.

UW Milwaukee dropped Wright State 75-65. Menasha's Traci Edwards again had a big night with 30 points.

MISSOURI VALLEY
Illinois State slipped by Northern Iowa 60-58. Ottumwa's Jessie Biggs had 15 for UNI.

Indiana State stopped Bradley 63-50. Waconia's Jenny Van Kirk did not score for Bradley.

Creighton knocked off Missouri State 61-51. Eastview's Michelle Kaus had two points, while Mpls North's Tyrai Bronson had 6.

Drake's Amy Stephens picked up career win #250 with a 69-61 triumph over Wichita State. Mpls North's Daria Frazier started and had 9 points for WSU. St. Croix Lutheran's Lauren Dybing had five for Drake. Brandy Dahir led Drake with 29.

INDEPENDENTS
South Dakota State escaped with a "bizarre" 79-78 victory over Utah Valley State. St. Peter's Megan Vogel made the two free throws with 1.3 seconds left to lift SDSU to the win. Vogel led SDSU with 19.

Texas Pan American edged North Dakota State 59-57. Cliimax-Fisher's Brenda Slyt had 23 points for NDSU, 16 in the second half.

OTHERS
Wyoming beat Colorado State 78-66 in overtime. Breck's Kelly Finley had 3 for CSU.

Montana State pounded Northern Colorado 68-47. Breck's Alyssa Nelson had 9 for MSU.

San Diego downed Portland 74-66. Plainview's Anne Graner had 8 for Portland.

San Jose State edged Hawaii 57-56

Denver nudged Troy 65-62 in overtime. Bloomington Kennedy's Ashly Robinson did not score for Denver.

Austin Peay claimed victory over Jacksonville State 83-74. Tartan's Jackie Goetzke had two for APSU.

UM Duluth upset South Dakota 76-71. Morris' Katie Winkelman had 24 to lead UMD. South Siuox City's Ashley Robinette had 20 to lead USD.

UN Omaha broke Augustana's 20 game winning streak 79-71. Willmar's Alison Adamson led Augustana with 21. Ashley Freerksen had 25 for UNO. North St. Paul's Cayla Hargrove chipped in with 18 for UNO.

North Dakota was the only favorite to win yesterday as they beat MSU Mankato 84-76. Starkweather-Munich's Karla Beck had a career high for UND with 26. Kittson Central's Ashley Langen was right behind her with 25. JWP's Heather Johnson had 29 to lead all scorers for MSU Mankato.

Davenport cornered Cornerstone 82-70 in WHAC action.

JUCO
Itasca rolled by Central Lakes 76-53 in MN CC North action. From the Brainerd Dispatch.

MN West topped Fergus Falls 65-56 on Wednesday. From the Worthington Daily Globe and Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
