Wisconsin turned the tables on Minnesota in Madison 70-57 with a "Raise the Roof" crowd of 15, 269 watching. Janese Banks led Wisconsin with 20. Emily Fox also had 20 for Minnesota.

The Gophers were playing their first game without the services of Kelly Roysland. The StarTribune talks of a fade in the first half without their leader. The MN Daily writes about the shorthanded Gophers and their loss of momentum.

It was a "perfect day" according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The defense energized the Badgers and fans according to the Wisconsin State Journal. The Capital Times' Jim Polzin stated that Wisconsin raised their level of play when they raised the roof. With the win Wisconsin is assured of a winning record this season, again from the Capital Times.

Illinois downed Northwestern 77-49. Bloomington Kennedy's Jenna Smith continues to do well with a double double of 17 points, 11 rebounds. Breck's Melissa Miller did not score for NW.

Michigan edged Indiana 65-63. The Wolverines trailed by as many as 17. The Michigan Daily writes of the comeback. The Michigan Daily also writes about the shooting range of the Wolverine Posts. Detroit King's LaQuisha Whitfield led Michigan with 15 points, all in the second half.

Penn State dropped Iowa 78-71. The Hawkeyes led by as many as 15 late in the first half. The Daily Iowan writes of the "Stumble," at PSU. Osseo's Krista VandeVenter had a double double with 20 points and 13 rebounds.

Rutgers topped Michigan State 63-57 in nonconference action. It was the stretch run that did MSU in according to the State News. Mpls North's Mia Johnson had 11 off the bench, and Grandville MI's 6-9 Alyssa DeHaan had 12 also off the bench for MSU. Victoria Lucas-Perry led the scoring with 13 for MSU.

Missouri beat Colorado 61-48. Mounds View's Hannah Skildum had 3 for Colorado.

MID AMERICAN
Bowling Green beat Eastern Michigan 72-55. East Chicago Central IN's Kelly Watts had 17 to lead EMU.

MISSOURI VALLEY
Illinois State beat Bradley 55-47. Waconia's Jenny Van Kirk had 2, and Forest Lake's Renee Frericks did not score for Bradley.

NORTHERN SUN
Mary upset Winona State in Bismarck 72-66. The Bismarck Tribune highlights Lisa Guss and her 16 points off the bench. North Bend, WA's Nicci Lanndeck and Bottineau, ND's Lisa Guss each had 16 for Mary. Chicago Lane Tech's Jamie Majerowicz and Reedsburg, WI's Amanda Riemer each had 16 for WSU.

Northern State devoured Upper Iowa 62-43. Early Upper Iowa led by 9 before Northern State kicked up a notch. Also from the Aberdeen American News. With the win Northern State is alone in first place in the Northern Sun. Beulah, ND's Carolin Becker had 17 to lead NSU.

NAIA
In a battle of top 25 teams on Saturday, #10 Mayville State defeated #17 Minot State by the score of 88-82 in overtime. Red Lake Central's Michelle Halvorson and Pine Ridge, SD's Laura Big Crow each had 20 for Mayville.

Mount Marty punished Nebraska Wesleyan 86-45 on Saturday. From the Yankton Press & Dakotan.
