IOWA SEEDINGS
Sioux City North, the current #2 team in 4A, will get a bye during the regionals, but they will not get a home game. The Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union (IGHSAU) has already seeded the regions. SC West will play at SC East on Feb. 16. SC North will play the winner at SC East on Feb. 18.
This is not a very accurate way to run a tournament. First seedings need to be done after the season is over. It is like declaring a Kentucky Derby winner after the first turn. You don't know what will happen to the teams. Players may get injured, teams may gel. Get rid of this antiquated system so that the best in the end play the best.
