Purdue edged Minnesota 56-54. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 17 for Purdue. Leslie Knight (Hopkins) had 22 for Minnesota.

Illinois beat #19 Ohio State 68-64. Jenna Smith (Bloomington Kennedy) had 20 for Illinois. Shavelle Little (Ann Arbor Huron) had 6 for OSU.

Indiana beat Wisconsin 86-62. Haylie Linn (Madison Edgewood) had 15 for Indiana. Jolene Anderson (South Shore, WI) had 23 for Wisconsin. Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) had 8 and Alyssa Karel (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 3 for the Badgers.

Iowa beat Northwestern 70-55. The Hawkeyes are now tied for first. Wendy Ausdemore (TriCenter) had 15 for Iowa. Krista VandeVenter (Osseo) chipped in two. Melissa Miller (Breck) did not score for NW.

Michigan State beat Michigan 61-58. Alyssa DeHaan (Grandville, MI) had 15 for MSU. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) added two for the Spartans. Carly Benson (Carney-Nadeau, MI) had 12 for Michigan.

DEATH
Former Illinois coach and Central Michigan coach Laura Golden died on Sunday.
