MINNESOTA REPORTS
LATE SATURDAY
Here are reports from the papers that don't publish on Sunday.
AAA
Marshall edged Worthington 82-80. From the Worthington Daily Globe.
Here is the Fergus Falls story on their win over Thief River Falls without the music video. From the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.
A
New Life won the MCAA tournament, as I reported on Saturday night, and here is a recap of their week in the Woodbury Bulletin.
SEEDS
The Worthington Daily Globe looks at the seeds in section 3 in A and AA.
MOVING TOURNAMENT?
Could the State tournaments be moving elsewhere out of the metro? John Millea looks at the economics of the situation. One idea floating around is having the four tournaments held at four different sites. In other words it would be like South Dakota with (for example) the AAAA tournament in Rochester, AAA in Mankato, AA in St. Cloud, and A in Duluth all on the same weekend.
As a reporter and fan I would not be in favor of splitting the tournament up. In fact I like the Iowa model where the tournament runs Monday through Saturday all at one site. I don't like the split on Wednesday and Thursday now. I would detest four different sites. It is not a big time environment.
