AFTERNOON GRAB BAG
VERBAL
Kaitlyn Houser of Zimmerman has made a verbal to UW Superior. She is the fourth player from Minnesota to verbal Superior.

POSTPONED
Iowa is getting weather again and there are postponements. The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier has more on the McLeod Center postponement. The IGHSAU has more weather related postponements.

HVL CHAMPIONSHIP
Rochester Lourdes will be looking for their 11th HVL championship tonight at Cannon Falls. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.

Radio station KGYM 1600 AM is scheduled to broadcast the 4A and 3A regional final games from the US Cellular Center on Tuesday, February 19, 2008.
The CR Washington vs CR Kennedy game (Region 6 final) is scheduled for 5:30 pm.

The Sports Brain is a blog that has video of games and commentary on the sports scene. They have coverage of the Mpls South/St. Paul Central I game and St. Paul Humboldt/St. Paul Johnson contest.

MORE MILESTONES
Emily Bose a 6-1 center from Murray County Central scored her 1,000th career point against the defending state champion Fulda Raiders on Saturday night. Bose scored a total of 26 points in the Rebels victory and went over the 1,000-point mark making her just the third Rebel in school history to achieve the scoring mark. Bose has now scored 1,017 points in her career she has also grabbed 631 rebounds, and blocked 273 shots. Bose this season has 491 points, 257 rebounds, 57 steals, and 120 blocks in 24 games. Bose is just completing her sophomore season for the Rebels and is on pace to shatter school records in points, rebounds, and blocks.
This marks the 58th player to hit the 1000 mark in Minnesota this year and the 2nd to achieve it in the sophomore class.

Closing in is Rachelle Eckman of St. James. She is 15 points from her 1,000 points after scoring 16 last night in a loss to Fairmont. Next up is GHEC on Tuesday.
Eckman plays all five positions. She is averaging 16.8 points, 13.6 boards, 3.2 asst., 2.9 steals, 1.5 blocks.

SUMMER ACTION
The Ultimate Hoops Junior League will be starting this Summer in June. UH Junior will be a 17 and under league for boys and girls that will mirror their successful adult league, complete with photos, interviews, player profiles, segments on UH TV 's THE SHOW, full stats, and much more!

COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Kirkwood (15-0, 21-6) used a 12-0 run in the first half to open up a 44-26 halftime lead to win their 8th game in a row.
Marquette recruits Lauren Thomas-Johnson 16 points and Breann Hill 14 points led the Eagles.
Kirkwood travels to Southwestern on Wednesday night
