Iowa Tournament Primer

Tomorrow the Iowa State Tournament kicks off. Here are the brackets. There will be four 1A games on Monday and two 2A games as well. Tuesday wraps up the 2A quarterfinals plus all the 3A contests. Wednesday the 4A quarters and 1A semis are on tap. Thursday the 2A and 3A semis take place. Friday the 4A semis and the finals in 1A and 2A highlight the day. It is all wrapped up on Saturday with 3A and 4A.

What I like about the Iowa tournament is: #1 it is at one site. A true fan get to see all the games. #2. Warm ups are only 15 minutes. Things move. There is no wasted dragging on. I wish Minnesota could learn a lesson and incorporate some of these points.
