There will be two new state champs as Fulda (A) and Pipestone (AA) lost in their subsection semis. Also records were broken, but the players that achieved the marks are finished with their year. Alexandria's Angela Christianson scored 54 points and Moorhead's Kelsey Jacobson set a new 3 career record with 361. Hannah Draxten of Fergus Falls topped the 1000 rebound mark. Holli Aggen of Worthington went over 1000.

TODAY'S BEST BETS
AAA and AAAA take center stage tonight. First round games are first round games, but the biggest battle will be in 2AAAA with #5 Eden Prairie vs #4 Richfield at Bloomington Kennedy. Both have been in the top 10 this year. EP did beat Richfield at the Apple Valley Tournament. Eden Prairie didn't have school today because of some unknown threat. Will that play a part in the action tonight? game at 6:00 PM.

8: #2 Bemidji beat Alexandria 67-64, but it was a tight contest thanks to Angela Christianson who had 54 points for Alex.

2: #1E Hayfield beat Triton 67-28. Byron beat Kasson-Mantorville 49-38. #2E Blooming Prairie survived Southland in overtime 46-43. From the Rochester Post Bulletin.

3: Jackson County Central and Fairmont won their contests. JCC beat Windom 90-66, while Fairmont dethroned defending AA champ Pipestone 74-58. Pipestone was without Faith Tinklenberg out with mono. From the Worthington Daily Globe.
