AFTERNOON GRAB BAG
VERBALS
Samantha and Danielle Anderson of Wrenshall have verbally committed to play basketball at UW Superior. The twins are guards on the Wrens this year. They are the 57th and 58th players to commit from the 2008 class.

Lexi Braun of Wahpeton has made a verbal to NDSCS in volleyball. Braun is also a McDonald's nominee from North Dakota they have the list of 9 ND girls nominated. From the Wahpeton Daily News.

COACHING MILESTONES
Iowa's Lisa Bluder has 500 wins after beating Penn State on Sunday. From the Des Moines Register.

Buena Vista had two coaches reach milestones the same day. Janet Berry is now the winningest coach at Buena Vista on the women's side with 260 total.

AWARDS
Iowa State's Alison Lacey (Ballard, IA) was named co Big 12 Player of the Week. Courtney Paris of Oklahoma also shared the honor.

Central Michigan's Angel Chan (Wyoming Park, MI) has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week.

Carleton's Hannah Oken-Berg (Portland Lincoln, OR) has been named MIAC player of the week.
