WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON GRAB BAG
VERBAL
Savannah Dederick from ThunderRidge HS in Colorado signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Black Hills State University.

SOUTH TV
Mpls. South Lady Tigers were selected team of the week and will be on Ch. 5 at 11 pm LIVE w/Ann Hutchins for the Preps sports wrap. Ann & Tayler Hill will talk about their future and all the D1 head coaches that have been in already to watch her.

JOLENE
Jolene Anderson now has her own song, or reworked song (think Dolly Parton), on the Badgers site. Plus video too.

REFS & CALLS
The Rochester Post Bulletin looks at what is and what is not a foul these days. If you haven't noticed games are being called extremely tight at the start of the season.

ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Jenny Van Kirk of Bradley (Waconia) has been named scholar/athlete of the week at Bradley.

MICHIGAN
Saginaw Arthur Hill will be hosting a classic event on Saturday. The other teams are Saginaw Arts & Sciences vs Merrill, Nouvel Catholic Central vs Detroit Community; Saginaw High vs Grand Rapids Ottawa Hills and Arthur Hill vs Southfield Lathrup in the finale.
