MA's Week, Section Brackets Already; 1000

FRIDAY AFTERNOON GRAB BAG
MINNEHAHA'S WEEK OF UNDEFEATEDS
#4 Minnehaha knocked a couple teams out of the unbeaten ranks this week
Versus New Life, Megan Erlandson led MA to a 75-67 win with 22 points; but nearly as impressive was Jenny Ramey's 18 points on 6 3's and 9th Grade Post Cara Lutes had 16.

Against Richfield last night the Redhawks had very balanced scoring and were able to get Richfield in foul trouble. MA was able to beat the Spartan pressure, while they struggled against MA. Rachel Hansen had 16, Sarah Peterson 15, Ani Johnson 14 and Megan Erlandson 13 for MA. The "Big 3" of Richfield was held in check: Pamela January had 12, Mandy Poke had 10 and Noonan had 7. Their 4th option, Peterson stepped up with 14.

Minnehaha is playing in the Monticello Christmas Tourney. If they can get by Elk River in the first round there is a good shot to play St. Francis in the Final.

INJURY
Becker's Shelly Stemper may be out for a while. She will not play in Crookston and East Grand Forks. She may miss up to 5-8 weeks if surgery is done on a tear in the meniscus. Becker will also be without regular minute guard Molly Brown for both games.

WAHLIN POINTS
According to sources the scoreboard showed 30 for Kamille Wahlin last night in Crookston's win against Moorhead. Kelsey Jacobson of the Spuds had 23 with five 3s. From the Crookston Daily Times.

Taylor Sheley scored her 1000 career point in a 45-42 loss to Wadena-Deer Creek on Thursday. Sheley had 17 on the night. plus other results in the Brainerd Dispatch.
