The Ballard Invitational opens tonight. Host #1 3A Ballard faces #2 3A Sioux City Heelan. That will be followed by #5 4A Cedar Rapids Washington vs. Lincoln East. From the Des Moines Register.

Sioux City North beat South Sioux City, Nebraska in a battle of unbeatens 66-58. From the Sioux City Journal.

Saydel beat Albia 54-38. From the Ottumwa Courier.

In a Cedar Rapids battle it was #5 4A CR Washington over #9 4A CR Kennedy 68-50.

ELIGIBILITY
The Iowa Board of Education will tighten the eligibility requirements pending approval. If a student fails they would be held out of games for 30 calendar days. From the Des Moines Register.
