MINNESOTA REPORTS
HOSPITALIZED
Hopkins girls basketball coach Brian Cosgriff has been in Methodist Hospital all week with Pancreatitis - basically an inflamed pancreas that causes a lot of pain. They treat it by no food or water -- the pancreas has no work to do then and will hopefully return to its normal state. Between the pain, pain relief drugs, and no food, he is pretty week.

He has been getting progressively better each day since Tuesday, but will probably be in the hospital until next Tuesday. So he has not been coaching the team this week in practice and will not be coaching the team in at least the next two games: Becker on Friday and Mpls Southwest on Saturday. Mike Gidley, the varsity assistant coach, will be the head coach of Hopkins for these games and maybe longer if Brian needs more time to heal.

Hopkins will also be with out the services of Hana Potter who has mono, but could return to action after the first of the year.

Here is hoping to a speedy recovery for all.
