Wisconsin cracked into the win column with a 84-71 victory over Michigan State. Alyssa Karel (Cretin-Derham Hall) had a career high 19 for the Badgers. Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) did not score for the Badgers. Alyssa DeHaan (Grandville, MI) had 27 to lead all scorers for Michigan State. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) had 6 also for MSU.
Penn State beat Illinois 49-48. Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids) had 1 for PSU. Lori Bjork (Johnston, IA) had 12 for Illinois. Jenna Smith (Bloomington Kennedy) added 10.
Iowa's focus is defense against the Gophers tonight.

UMKC beat Newman 81-32. Alysa Klein (Okoboji, IA) had 13 for UMKC. Marta Waalen (St. Paul Central) added 11 more.
