Iowa Nudges Michigan for High Five

Ohio State beat Wisconsin 79-74. Shavelle Little (Ann Arbor Huron) had 11 for Ohio State. Jolene Anderson (South Shore, WI) had 16 for Wisconsin. Alyssa Karel (Cretin-Derham Hall) and Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) had 6 each for the Badgers.

Indiana beat Michigan State 70-56. Jamie Braun (Marshfield, WI) had 18 for Indiana. Alyssa DeHaan (Grandville, MI) had 15 as did Lauren Aitch (Lansing Waverly, MI) for MSU. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) had 3 for MSU.

Penn State beat Michigan 68-57. Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids) started and had 8 for PSU. Carly Benson (Carney-Nadeau, MI) had 13 for Michigan.

Purdue beat Northwestern 52-38. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 10 for Purdue. Melissa Miller (Breck) had 4 for NW.

MISSOURI VALLEY
Southern Illinois beat Creighton in overtime 75-74. Kristina Voss (Ankeny) had 21 for Creighton. Tyrai Bronson (Mpls North) and Michelle Kaus (Eastview) did not score for Creighton.

Evansville beat Drake 62-57. Jill Martin (Norwalk) had 16 for Drake. Lauren Dybing (St. Croix Lutheran) had 6 more for Drake.

SOUTH
LSU beat Mississippi State 84-31. Kristen Morris (Detroit Country Day) had 5 for LSU.

Kentucky beat Auburn 62-55. Samantha Mahoney (West Bloomfield, MI) had 12 for Kentucky.

Virginia Tech beat Dartmouth 80-73 in overtime. Kristen Craft (Marshalltown, IA) had 11 for Dartmouth.

EAST
Rutgers beat Louisville 70-57. Brandie Radde (Niles, MI) had 8 for Louisville.

WEST
UTEP beat Memphis 75-62. Jareica Hughes (Southfield-Lathrup, MI) had 8 for UTEP.

SMU beat Marshall 72-50. Tynikki Crook (Detroit Pershing) had 12 for Marshall.

Hillsdale beat Northern Michigan 65-46. Katie Cezat had 27 for Hillsdale. Allison Carroll (Rhinelander, WI) had 13 for NMU.

HIGH FIVE
Iowa edged out Michigan 68-67 in the high five. thanks to Kristina Voss and her top of the list 21.
Iowa is now only 0.5 wins behind Wisconsin for second place in the team portion of the high five. Iowa has 15.5 wins on the year.
In the individual portion, Iowa now has 12 wins which is tied for 3rd with Minnesota, they are 8.5 off the pace of leader Wisconsin.
This is Voss's first time leading the high five and the 12th Iowa player to do so. Michigan also has had 12 leaders.
