I reported on Centennial's doubling up of Osseo in their 83-40 win last night. Here is John Millea of the StarTribune with a report on the game with a look at the Becken dynamics.

In a section 2AAAA/Lake Conference battle the Chaska Hawks won their 5th game in a row and 13th overall behind 29 points from Courtney Boylan in beating Bloomington Jefferson 49-40. Boylan, a Miss Basketball candidate, needed only 17 shots to lead both teams in scoring. The Jaguars were lead by senior Brianna Londeen who had 13 points and freshman Anna Smith who posted a double double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

Central defeated Johnson 89-70 in a battle royale in St. Paul. Kiara Buford had 31 points and 6 assists. Buford made 11 of 11 free throws and is now shooting 91.4% for the season from the charity stripe. (64 for 70). Buford also passed the 1500 point mark early in the game and now has 1528 career points. Georgie Jones dominated the inside with 18 points, 26 rebounds and 7 blocked shots. Jones now has 299 blocks for her career. Theairra Taylor had 17, and Megan Howard added 12.
For Johnson Carolyn Mobley and Alex Moore played exceptionally well and Tacita Gonzalez is an excellent ball handler and distributor.
