ANNUAL WISH
Today is Martin Luther King day and in other states there are basketball events going on. In Chicago they have the MLK Dream Classic and teams from around the nation come in. They even have contests on Sunday. Minneapolis North played on Saturday and beat NY Thomas Jefferson 63-56.

I don't know why some school or organization in the Twin Cities doesn't run with this idea. It would be the only game in town. You could stretch it over Saturday and Monday. Maybe you have a two four team brackets a la the Hamline tournament. Maybe you have 8 teams come in on Saturday and a different mix for Monday. Maybe you have a City vs Suburban pairing; private vs public; 4A vs 3A. what ever theme a school or organization can dream about.

This event is overdue. I hope someone can get it done for next year.
