Minnesota beat Michigan State 81-69. Emily Fox had 29 for the Gophers. Katie Ohm (Elgin-Millville) had 17, Leslie Knight (Hopkins) had 13, and Ashley Ellis-Milan (St. Paul Central) had 12 for the Gophers. Mandy Piechowski (Utica, MI) had a career high 14 for MSU. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) had 4 also for the Spartans.

Iowa beat Michigan 66-61. "Grandma" Solverson had 28 for the Hawkeyes. Krista VandeVenter (Osseo) had 4 for Iowa. Carly Benson (Carney-Nadeau, MI) had 22 for Michigan.

Purdue beat Illinois 71-59. Lakisha Freeman (Saginaw Arthur Hill) had 21 for Purdue. Jenna Smith (Bloomington Kennedy) had 20 for Illinois.

Wisconsin beat Northwestern 75-45. Jolene Anderson (South Shore) had 23 for Wisconsin. Alyssa Karel (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 2, Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) had 1 and Sarah Ingison (Concordia Roseville) did not score for the Badgers. Melissa Miller (Breck) had 2 for NW.

MISSOURI VALLEY
Illinois State beat Wichita State 71-53. Nicolle Lewis (Muskego, WI) had 11 for Illinois State. Daria Frazer (Mpls North) had 2 for WSU.

Drake beat Northern Iowa on a buzzer beater 66-63. Jordan Plummer made only one shot but it was the three that gave Drake the win. Jill Martin (Norwalk, IA) had 17 for Drake. Lauren Dybing (St. Croix Lutheran) had 15 for Drake. Lizzie Boeck (Milw Lutheran) had 17 for UNI.

Indiana State beat Missouri State 78-55. Sarah Paul (Elkhorn, WI) did not score for ISU. Maggie Dwyer (Grand Haven, MI) had 13 for Missouri State.

EAST
Pittsburgh beat Louisville 76-67. Keshia Hines (Auburn Hills Avondale, MI) had 4 for Louisville.

Temple beat Rhode Island 48-34. Shenita Landry (Milw King) had 8 for Temple.

SOUTH
LSU beat Kentucky 72-46. Kristen Morris (Detroit Country Day) did not score for LSU. Samantha Mahoney (West Bloomfield, MI) had 12 for Kentucky.

East Carolina beat Marshall 59-57. Kizzy Hart (Oak Park, MI) had 7 for Marshall.

Vanderbilt beat Ole Miss 83-50. Amy Malo (Fairmont) had 3 for Vandy.

South Alabama beat Denver 48-40. Ashly Robinson (Bloomington Kennedy) had 6 for Denver.

Sami Lauf of Bismarck State lost her dad to cancer last year when she was a senior at New Salem, ND. The Bismarck Tribune examines how she remembers her father and how she ended up at Bismarck State.

HIGH FIVE
Michigan swept the high five yesterday despite the fact that if you look at the teams involved they finished a collective 1-5. Carly Benson led the high five for the first time. Michigan nosed back in front of Wisconsin for the individual race 22 to 21.5. Benson is the 14th Michigander to lead the High Five.
Michigan is ahead in the team race 26 wins to Wisconsin's 17.
