Evavold, Eul 1000, Triple Double, Raining 3s

MINNESOTA REPORTS

1. Megan Eul hit the 1000 point mark in Rosemount's 63-41 win against visiting Rochester Mayo. She had 17 for the game (had 13 at halftime).

2. Two Lake powers that have had recent losing streaks met and it was Bloomington Kennedy that snapped a five game losing streak beating Lakeville North 53-45. LN has now lost 6 in a row.

3. Minneapolis South beat Minneapolis Roosevelt 70-64. It was a four point game at half. It was 64-62 with 1:15 left. South used free throws to finish. The margin was mainly 8 for most of the game. You wouldn't know this, because there is no box score or report in the the StarTribune. This is unacceptable and disappointing. This does not look good for the school, conference, and sport. It is time to step up and be professional.

4. Stillwater beat Henry Sibley 69-49 with Taylor Stippel notching 33. I reported on this last night in the out & about.

5. Bemidji won the Lumberjack battle over Cloquet 68-52. From the Bemidji Pioneer.

1. Princeton's Katie Loberg followed her 48 points with a triple double tonight. She had 27 pts, 22 rebs, and 12 blks in a win over Cambridge-Isanti.

2. The #1 AA Team in South Dakota Sioux Falls Washington beat Marshall 64-62. From the Marshall Independent.

3. Worthington beat Windom 89-56. From the Worthington Daily Globe.

Zimmerman beat Mora 68-54. From the Elk River Star News.

1. MN Valley Lutheran beat New Ulm Cathedral 73-50. From the New Ulm Journal.

2. GFW beat Sleepy Eye St. Mary's 61-57. From the NUJ.

4. Dawson-Boyd beat MACCRAY 56-55. Kelly Swenson made two free throws for the win. Kristin Lee had eight 3s for DB on the way to 31 points. plus other results from the West Central Tribune.

5. Hillcrest beat Rothsay 53-45. plus other results from the Fergus Falls Daily Journal.

COMPETITION COSTS
The StarTribune looks at the price families have to pay to play with fees, and time. Also they start to look at specialization.
