Iowa, Iowa State Work Overtime for Wins

Minnesota beat Penn State 67-50. Ashley Ellis-Milan (St. Paul Central) had a career high 22 for Minnesota. Leslie Knight (Hopkins) added 12 for the Gophers. Janessa Wolff (Park Rapids) had 9 for PSU. Gopher role players provided a lift according to the StarTribune.

Ohio State beat Northwestern 77-55. Tamarah Riley (Detroit DePorres) had 6 for OSU. Melissa Miller (Breck) did not score for NW.

Michigan beat Michigan State 64-55. Carly Benson (Carney-Nadeau, MI) had a career high 23 for Michigan. Alyssa DeHaan (Grandville, MI) had 9 for Michigan State. Mia Johnson (Mpls North) did not score for the Spartans.

Iowa beat Wisconsin 78-74 in overtime. Stacy Schlapkohl (Durant, IA) had 14 for Iowa. Kachine Alexander (Benilde-St. Margaret's) had 6 and Krista VandeVenter (Osseo) had 4 for Iowa.
Jolene Anderson (South Shore, WI) erupted for 42 points for the Badgers. She is now over 2000 points and is the all time leading scorer in Wisconsin women's basketball history. Alyssa Karel (Cretin-Derham Hall) had 7, Tara Steinbauer (Bloomington Kennedy) had 4, and Sarah Ingison (Concordia Roseville) did not score for Wisconsin.

MIDWEST
Iowa State beat Colorado 84-77 in two overtimes. Alison Lacey (Ballard, IA) had 27 points including seven 3s for ISU. Amanda Nisleit (Woodbury) contributed 7 more. Hannah Skildum (Mounds View) started, but did not score for Colorado.

Illinois State beat Bradley 94-61. Nicolle Lewis (Muskego, WI) had 12 for Illinois State. Jenny Van Kirk (Waconia) had 8 and Renee Frericks (Forest Lake) had 4 for Bradley.

EAST
Albany beat Maine 78-46. Brittany Bowen (Merrill, WI) had 2 points for Maine.

SOUTH
LSU beat Vanderbilt 62-51. Kristen Morris (Detroit Country Day) had 2 for LSU. Amy Malo (Fairmont) did not score for Vandy.

UALR beat Denver 45-41. Ashly Robinson (Bloomington Kennedy) did not score for Denver.

LATE CC
Rochester beat Minneapolis 72-51 and here is the Rochester Post Bulletin report. Kasie Heimer (Rochester Century) had 29 for Rochester. Rochester Coach Steve Hucke is interviewed on the Minneapolis Hoops blog.

HIGH FIVE
Iowa, thanks to two Iowa teams going OT, won the team portion of the high five. That puts them at 12.5 wins on the year, in 3rd place 8 wins behind Michigan
Jolene Anderson left everyone in the dust for individual honors in the High Five. Wisconsin adds to their individual lead with 18.5 wins, 1.5 more than second place Michigan.
Anderson is in second place individually to Krystal Ellis.
