The Shows Begin, Police Blotter Returns

The Mastey Twins of Becker are part of the Gopher's All Minnesota freshman class. From WCCO.

Michigan State started their practice with Friday Night Flashback. Coach Suzy Merchant channelled Carol Burnett.

Indiana had Hoosier Hysteria. Coach Felisha Leggett-Jack came out as a prize fighter.

Purdue had Mackey Madness. The team apparently did a choreographed dance. Danielle (Bird) Cardinal, a member of the 1999 national championship team, and husband Brian gave a $250,000 gift to renovate and expand Mackey arena.

Northwestern opened the Joe McKeown era with an intense practice.

POLICE BLOTTER
Alex D. Quandt, a former Mishicot, Wisconsin JV girls basketball coach, allegedly had sex with a 16-year-old girl in May 2007 and the girl became pregnant. He is taking full responsibility for his actions, the complaint indicates. From the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter.

This is a 5 game guarantee tournament. If you are interested please let us know, as we have already received a lot of interest, and the tournament will fill up fast. The tournament last year featured 26 girls teams from 6 states. Any questions let me know. If you plan to attend please let us know as well. All games will be ran like a high school game, 16 minutes of stopped clock basketball per half. We will only take 12 teams per age division, and I have already received a lot of interest.
Championship games will be broadcasted live via the internet for everyone to listen to!!

It's tough to find more then one or two quality events in the winter, that have more then 1 or 2 good teams. This will be one!!!
