PREVIEWS
The Big 12 has made their preseason selections. Oklahoma gets the top spot.
Iowa State is picked for 3rd.
Nebraska is slotted for 8th.
Kansas is tabbed for 9th.

The Horizon League has made their preseason selections.
UW Green Bay is favored for the top spot.
UW Milwaukee is selected for 3rd.
Cleveland State is picked for 4th.
Butler is picked for 5th.
UI Chicago is tabbed for 7th.

Rob Smith of East Lansing has been chosen as coach of the year by the Michigan High School Coaches Association in class A. From the Lansing State Journal.

Tim Schoonveld of Holland Christian has been chosen as coach of the year by the Michigan High School Coaches Association in class B. From the Holland Sentinel.

BAD IDEAS
Paddling players for messing up in games. Allegedly an assistant boys volleyball coach paddled a player for missing serves. I know it is volleyball, but put in missed free throws and it is still a bad idea. From USA Today.
