MINES SIGNS
Morgan Mines of Arvada-Clearmont Wyoming has signed with Black Hills State. From the Black Hills Pioneer. Mines is a 6-0 forward.

Mines is the first player from the Wyoming 2009 class to make a college choice.

SWAGGER BACK
Michigan's women's basketball team held their media day yesterday and the Wolverines have their swagger back. From the Detroit Free Press.

MEETING THE MEDIA
Nebraska met the media yesterday.

PRESEASON
WAC
The Western Athletic Conference has released their preseason all conference team. San Jose State's Natalie White (Dubuque Senior) is a member of the second team. Boise State is tabbed for the top spot.

MOUNTAIN WEST
The Mountain West has released their preseason selections with Utah picked for the top spot.

HANKINSON TURMOIL
The coaching situation is still a mess in Hankinson with a school board meeting in an emotionally charged hearing. "Tears were freely shed." This time it is was the family of two players asking the board to implement a policy to protect students in the future and an assistant coach who wasn't rehired speaking. The University of Illinois will hold their coaching clinic on Nov. 8. Coaches can still register.

BENNETT SPEAKS

Williston State will scrimmage Dickinson State at 11 am and Bismarck State at 1:30 pm on Saturday.
