Three Verbals, Fall Leagues, and Tryouts

VERBAL
Aubrey Minix of Oregon-Davis, Indiana has verballed Murray State. The 5-9 shooting guard 18.1 ppg for the 24-1 Bobcats. From the South Bend Tribune.
Minix is the 27th player overall in the 2009 Indiana class to verbal and the 26th headed to a D1 program.

Two Ohio players have verballed.
Chelsea Hawkins of Bucyrus is headed to the University of Evansville.
Sarah Pearce of Middletown Fenwick has verballed Lehigh University.
The two push the overall Ohio 2009 verbals to 36 and those heading to a D1 program 27.

BREAKDOWN FALL LEAGUE
KENNEDY
This is a reminder that the Breakdown Fall Leagues held at Bloomington Kennedy are creating large interest. Bloomington Kennedy has 8 courts available and it looks like we will be using all of them. Many of you were in the league last year and we hope to join us again. This will be the main hub for Girls Basketball players in the Metro, with many schools who from Southern and Central MN who are also attending. It will be a VERY exciting 5 weeks.

BECKER
Interest level for this year's Breakdown Fall League in Becker is very high. Schools from Grand Rapids, Andover, Rogers, Champlin, Sartell, Watertown-Mayer, Bemidji, Alexandria, St. Cloud Cathedral, Princeton, Park Center, and teams from West Central and Northern Minnesota have indicated they are coming. The season starts later this year as does our Fall League, but we want to make sure we continue to communicate with you. We are expecting the largest turnout of teams in several years.

Indiana will hold walk on tryouts on October 5.

2009 14u & 15u Minnesota Lady Monarchs Tryouts
The Minnesota Lady Monarchs are holding try-outs for the 2009 AAU Season – 14U / 15U
Saturday, September 27th, 2008
10:00 am til 1:00 pm DeLaSalle High School
(1 DeLaSalle Drive, Mpls 55401)
$25 try-out fee
These young ladies will be coached by Tim Randle, Paul Hill & Jim Dickinson. Coach Randle has been coaching for over 15 years, along with Coach Jim, and has won the AAU State Championship 3 times.
Coach Paul has been coaching for over 15 years as well and has won the AAU State Championship 7 times. He’s also coached his daughter, Taylor Hill, and she is now the Number 1 player in the country!
This past year, the Lady Monarchs have been exposed to some of the top colleges in the country (i.e. UNC, Duke, Creighton, U of WI, U of IA, U of IL, U of NE, U of GA, Hamline, Concordia…)
If you are interested in trying out, please arrive at the gym up to 30 minutes prior to start.

Purdue will hold Mackey Madness on October 17 after the Boilermaker/Wisconsin volleyball match.

COOK OUT
