JENKINS VERBALS
Alexis Jenkins of Chicago University High School has verballed Illinois State. The 5-6 guard averaged 27 points per game at CUHS.

In the summer Jenkins plays with Chicago Hoops Express.

Jenkins is the 19th player in the Illinois 2009 class to verbal and the 17th headed to a D1 program.

COACHING NEWS
Eric Nelson has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Monona Grove, WI. Nelson had been a boys coach at Madison LaFollette with his last season 2003-04. From the Capital Times.

Kevin Perschinske has been hired at Leelanau, Michigan. From the Leelanau Enterprise.

TRANSFER
Bri Zabel has transferred from Florida Gulf Coast to UM Crookston as we have reported earlier. The Northfield Times has a feature on that now.

Jennifer Juergens has transferred from Chicago Loyola to Olivet Nazarene to DePaul.
