SCHAEFER VERBALS
Leslie Schaefer of Verona, Wisconsin has verballed Kent State. The 6-3 center averaged 13.1 ppg for the 19-7 Wildcats last season. Schaefer plays her summer ball with Pacesetter Basketball. From the Capital Times.

Schaefer is the 15th player from the 2009 Wisconsin class to verbal and the 10th player headed to a D1 program.

MORE VERBALS
Starr Crawford of Mansfield Summitt has verballed Texas Christian.

Crawford is the 2nd player from the Texas 2009 class (that is known) to verbal.

ROSTER FINALIZED
Colorado State has five players from overseas on their roster this season.

GONE
Chakeitha Weldon has left the Kansas women's basketball team. Weldon played in 10 games last year, and averaged 2.6 ppg.

WANTED
Swanville HS (a class A school between Little Falls and Alexandria) has an opening for Varsity and JV girls. Currently there is no C team. Numbers have been down and the program hasn't won more than 2 games in about 7 years. The freshmen class, 8th, 7th and 6th grade are big classes with some talent according to sources.

Here is a job opportunity---due to some great fundraising efforts, Columbia Heights is looking to add an additional coach in the Varsity gym this season. The position will be open beginning Tuesday.
Applicants can either send resume to activities office (attention Coach Buerman) or apply online at www.colheights.k12.mn.us Interested individuals may also call me if they have questions.
