This game took place Saturday, May 24, 2008
North St. Paul MYAS 17u
FRIDLEY tigers 57, BARNUM bombers 29

Fridley used their fresher legs and a hot start to burst the Bombers 57-29. The Tigers roared on their first three possessions and lead 8-0 after their fifth. Erin Green came out smoking with two field goals on the first two Fridley possessions. She had 11 for the half and 17 for the game. Barnum was feeling the effects of a short bench. They had droughts of 5, 8 and 5 in the first half. By half time it was 27-13 Fridley.

Fridley opened the second half with another four possession scoring string and led 37-18. Six of their points in that 10-5 run came on second chancers. On their third possession of the half Liz Leighton scored on a second chancer and was fouled. She missed the free throw, but Erin Green was there to pounce on it and put it in. So in that one possession four points came via second chancers. The droughts weren't as severe in the second half for the Bombers. They did live up to their name with six 3 pointers in the game. They only made three conventional two point field goals all game. The turnover bug that ailed Barnum in the South game was not as evident in this game with 19 total.
