Hjelseth Signs, Twin Moves,

COLLEGE DECISIONS
Gretta Hjelseth of Nevis is headed to Michigan Tech. Hjelseth competed with the 1A All Stars in April. The 5-10 guard averaged 26 ppg for Nevis last year. Also MTU bound is Krista Pelky of Oshkosh West.

Molly Wold is following her high school coach Tom Suelzle from Watford City to Williston State. From the Williston Herald.

TWIN MOVES
The Hoffman twins of the University of South Dakota and Mitchell are exploring options to play basketball overseas. From the Mitchel Daily Republic.

COACHING NEWS
Former Hawkeye Katie Abrahamson-Henderson has been hired as an assistant women's basketball coach at Indiana. Abrahamson-Henderson was also an assistant for a time at Iowa State.

Kris Byam has been hired as the new girls basketball coach at Des Moines North. North has lost 84 straight games. From the Des Moines Register.

BREAKTHROUGH

SUMMER TOURNAMENT
The 11th Annual CSS MAYB tournament will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska for Boys and Girls in grades 4-12 on June 13th-15th, 2008

5 game guarantee, Air conditioned facility, different divisions (school teams, rec teams, competitive teams, travel teams, AAU, Elite teams)
Event will be hosted by the Bison Youth Sports Complex, MAYB, The City of Lincoln & the Cornhusker Shooting Stars.
Last year 68 teams from 9 different states entered. Currently 38 teams have signed up for this event.
