BASKETBALL ON TRACK
Sam Ostarello of Stanley County won her second straight South Dakota High Jump with a 5-4 leap. The 2009 athlete has verballed Purdue for women's basketball.

Another basketball player won her third straight 800. Mikayla Barondeau of Leola-Frederick beat her mother's total wins. Barondeau will play women's basketball at Northern State next year. From the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.

REF CHOKES
A referee down in Arkansas will not be working anymore after choking a coach during a 12u youth basketball tournament sponsored by Youth Sports America. From the Pine Bluff Commercial.

LADY CATS IN KANSAS
Minnesota Stars Jihad (Lady Cats) will be in the 2008 Summer Kickoff Kansas tournament June 6-8 around Newton, Kansas. MSJ LC are team 12 in pool C on page 8.
