Southwest MN State has announced the five finalists for the women's basketball position. Included are recently released Minnesota assistant David Stromme, Carol Thelen-Richter who led DeLaSalle to a third place finish in the MN AAA State Tournament, Mike Jewett assistant at St. Cloud State, Geoff Lanier who recently was an assistant at Akron, and Paula Krueger a coach at Colorado Mines. The AA team beat the A team 76-71 in the Three Class Shootout in Salem. Kara Iverson of Yankton was the MVP for AA and scored 14 points. Abby Kratovil of Bennett County was the MVP of the A team and had 11 points.
