The tournament will be May 16-20 on Oahu

Each Island will hold a tournament to get into the state. Those begin next weekend. Here is the link to check on who is playing and where. Each abbreviation (BIIF) stands for the league or island. A LOOK AT THE MN STATE RESULTS
I have finished the number crunching on the MN State tournament, including the games I didn't get to (ie 3rd place games). I was able to do this thanks to the play by play account put out by the MSHSL. Today I am looking at Class differences.
STATE TOURNAMENT
Class, pp100, Floor %
AAAA 89.28, .431
AAA 75.37, .373
AA 86.62, .420
A 80.84, .393
According to this listing the AAAA division has the most skilled teams coming in just under 90. I have no explanation on why the AAA drops to 75.37, the lowest among the four classes. It may be a matter of strong defense. It is odd because in the All Star games held last weekend the AAA squad was the tops. compare
ALL STAR GAMES
AAAA 87.66, .422
AAA 97.55, .460
AA 83.66, .405
A 73.5, .327
There is some disconnect going on with AAA.
OVERALL SEASON
AAAA 84.01, .409 (100 teams measured, or some more than one game ie Armstrong 3 times)
AAA 80.55, .396 (48 teams)
AA 83.59, .403 (33 teams)
A 80.82, .393 (42 teams)
Obviously AAAA teams have more players to choose from. They tend to be bigger, and more skilled as a class.
